Kayu comes from an entrepreneurial family who inspired her business pursuits. It comes as no surprise that she followed in their footsteps by earning her MBA and attaining Project Management Professional certification. Kayu brings 12 years of experience in technology in the banking industry. As a business owner herself, she understands the dynamics of running a business. She is passionate about supporting businesses grow by helping them focus on their core business. Outside work, Kayu enjoys spending time with her husband and is always looking for new children’s literature to read with her two children.

Sam Akulli, PhD., P.M.P.
When you meet Dr. Akulli, don’t let his humor fool you. Beneath that calm and funny exterior lies a hotbed of knowledge formed over more than a decade of experience in IT , education, and management. Dr. Akulli brings experience from both the private and public sectors. He has served several senior leadership roles in the legal, educational, health care and housing sector. He is also a Strategic AI Program Advisor at Ashland University and an Adjunct Professor and Doctoral Advisor at Franklin University. In 2018, Dr. Akulli founded Kairos Innovations, where he served as Executive Director until 2023. Dr. Akulli has an innate ability to discern our clients’ goals, and find the ideal process to guide our team in bringing the visions to life. When he is not going on bike rides with his wife and children, you will find him sipping on a cup of coffee with a philosophy book in hand.

Alex Akulli, Ph.D., L.P.C.
Dr. Alex Akulli has over 20 years of experience in higher education as an accomplished academic and administrator. He is the recipient of several scholarship and fellowship awards, and also a member of the Fulbright Association, National Association of Academic Advisers, Association of International Educators, the Forum on Education Abroad, the Professional and Organization Network in Higher Education, and the Comparative and International Education Society. He teaches at universities in the United States and in Germany, and also serves as an advisor to doctoral students and their dissertation research. Alex is also the founder of Shining Applicants, an Education consultancy specializing in college applications. He has a special interest in fixing old cars and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
